Further establishing GeoSolve in the
behavioral health care field -- we have provided a data management
product for SCORS to process state mandated reporting from foster
care homes in South Carolina. Prior to our work with SCORS, this
state government organization was being inundated with paper
surveys from its member agencies. For their part - the agencies
were struggling with the monthly obligation of filling out
an 8.5
X 11 form for each of their residents in care.
GeoSolve modified existing software the foster care homes already
use to create this survey information in a digital format (an XML
file). This consolidated file of all residents can then be
uploaded by the foster home up to a centrally maintained web site
hosted on the SCORS network.
This has the following advantages: |
- Paper surveys are no longer required, and with them the expense
of postage, the challenge of data entry and the obligation to
shred
- Initially generating the information is dramatically easier and
more accurate for the foster care homes
- Automated reporting of data errors and missing surveys increases
the validity of the ongoing research of SCORS staff

This solution relies upon XML, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and
Access Data Pages for remote access by the SCORS agency. It is a
fine
example
of the way our company is leveraging the Internet to
serve our customers. |
